I paint with acrylic paint on canvas. My goal is to make powerful,
monumental paintings, with a certain drama. To achieve that I use pronounced colours with great light/dark contrast, zoom in on my subjects and work on a rather big format. I do not limit myself regarding subjects. I get inspired bij organic forms from nature. I do not have a message I would like to convey. I paint for my own pleasure.
My work has gotten more colourful and expressive over the last years. What didn't change is the way I paint. I still paint quick and 'sloppy'. I like it when you see the brushstrokes. Acrylics suits me well.
