Born in 1955, Christine followed a scientific career but always maintained an interest in drawing and painting. Over many years she has developed her own styles using oils, soft pastels and acrylics. Her early paintings were all landscapes, in oils, and focussed around the scenes of her home county, Somerset. In the mid 1990's getting out and about to do landscapes became difficult, and Christine began working on flower subjects. This led on to a long period of continually developing styles and ideas, from traditional to more modern images.

 In 1999, Christine started a website for her work; replacing it in 2001with a second  (the current one). In 2004 she began taking commissions and has, so far, completed around 18 works for private individuals, as items for the home, office, or as gifts. She received several local Best In Show awards during 2001, 2003 and 2004, for pastel paintings. In 2007 she was invited to contribute a painting to the recent publication "The Acrylic Flower Painters' A to Z".
