My Biography:

Born in Bedford, England 1969. Andrew studied electronics at Sheffield University, and while there, started to feel the urge to do something adventurous. At 20, he moved to London, fell in love with the city and began a 12-year career recording and producing music with influential artists such as Spiritualized, My Bloody Valentine and Primal Scream.

Wandering the capital's glitzy, garish and grotty streets filled his head (and his camera) with visions that he had to do something about. Visits to gallery shows and electrifying encounters with backstreet graffiti masterpieces gave him the final shove, and by 2005, he was performing digital alchemy and transforming raw emotion into potent images on paper and canvas.

The Chiswick art shop owner to whom he took his first series of works for framing said "Wow!" and wouldn't let him pay, preferring to have an "original Andrew Wilkinson" instead.

In 2008, Andrew has been working on a proposal for a London-wide public art project, as well as a suitable, streetwise, "non-gallery venue" for a show.
