Wednesday 15th March – A music and art special event takes place at Wobblybridge Art Gallery. To find out more pop down to the gallery anytime during the 15th March. For one day only.
Deborah studied Commercial Graphics (1992 – at South Cheshire College, Cheshire) and Landscape Design and Amenity Horticulture (1994 – Reaseheath College of Agriculture, Cheshire) and won a design award for a commercial project.
Her experience as an Interior Designer has heavily influenced the emphasis on composition in her paintings – their contents, colour and space between objects.
Her painting technique is achieved with a ‘loose brush’ and a varying weight of paint, together with the beautiful fluidity of the paint used.
The work may be described as ‘investigative energy’ with a focus which is an alive movement with the atmosphere and mood that a painting evokes.
Deborah is exhibiting at Wobblybridge as part of the popasylum exhibitions.

The show contains a diverse range of figurative styles and is a must see. We have decided to extend the exhibition for another week so if you have not been down to the gallery yet you have until the 6th November to pop down.

The Light exhibition was an exhibition made up of 3 artists, Louise McNaught, Denyse Viollette and Andrea Coltman. After attending the Working Artist Workshop, Wobblybridge included an option to hold a week long exhibition to put into practice the skills they were taught by Crista Cloutier (www.theworkingartist.co.uk)
This resulted in a great exhibition along with a very successful opening evening for the artists and it was a fantastic feeling to help these up and coming artists along the road to success. The show runs until the Sat 16th October so be sure to head down for a look.

On the 8th October Stephanie Hosmer took the stage with a fantastic exhibition of her contemporary illustrations. The evening was a huge success with many people coming to enjoy her work.
Wobblybridge has also invited Stephanie to show a selection of her work during our Winter exhibition so if you missed out be sure to pop in from November onwards.

My name is Stephanie Hosmer and I am a UK illustrator from Kent. I studied BA Hons Illustration at the University of Brighton and have since worked freelance for private commissions, clients – such as Invesco Perpetual, Browns Design London, Mark Dion, and have previously exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, London and Brighton.
I also often do collaborative pieces with other artists such as advertising illustrator Neil Duerden and Singapore illustrator Mindflyer. I describe my work as traditional with a contemporary twist. I like to work some narrative into pieces where possible and love painstakingly detailed drawing! Generally I take inspiration from animals, traditional cultures -particularly Inca and old story books.
