I was born in South Africa, educated in England and Scotland.I now live in San Francisco.I take inspiration from the patterns of Nature, their connection with human iconography.I have always tried to understand Magic Realism.I work mainly with colored pencils, and acrylic paint.Recently, I have started painting acrylic on wood I find at Ocean Beach, using the wood’s natural lines and contours.I have never studied painting formally, although I have always indulged from an early age at various levels of schooling.Painting occupies nearly all my spare time, an absolute joy relative to the drabness of daily existence.
